Wait untill the mod bug really gets you. I have to say in stock form these cars are kinda slow. 350hp by todays standards is not all that fast.
Just how fast is fast enough? Some of us don't have thousands to convert our Vettes to jet power with $$$ mods. Kindly permit those of us with limited wallets to be satisfied with our 350 HP stock "underpowered" Corvettes. Speaking for myself, I'm happy that I've even got my Vette, let alone wanting it to do 200MPH.

Yes but are known as Dutch Shephards or "Dutchies"
Sorry for hijacking this thread guys.
Dutch Shepherds are a separate breed and are well known for their 'intensity' which is why they are used for Police work in Europe so much. They are gorgeous with their multicolored coats and sleek bodies.
I was at a car show on Saturday and my '97 Arctic White coupe got just as much (or more) attention and positive comments as the 2012 Arctic White Grand Sport I was parked next too.
Can't say I disagree. My first was a 2001 Targa with the A4. Second one was a 2000 Targa 6spd with a blower. 3rd one that I just picked up, is an FRC, stroked and blown.
Such a dilemma....to do or not to do. I would love to have more power, lots of it. Then i start thinking, if i had 400-500 hp, would they reopen Alcatraz just for me....and give me a roommate named Bubba.
I don't have access to a real race track. Once in a great while i go out on a desolate road (yes we have those in Texas) and let it hang out. Last time i got up to 159, and i started having difficulty swallowing. I had these two lumps in my throat. Turns out it was my b@llz. HA!, when i was twenty that didn't happen. I think as we get older the more we fear death.
Depends on the Porsche. Offer me a GT2 RS as an equal trade, and I'm gone.
Fixt.

But to Rick, yes I agree and I am still at the factory power LOL. I can only imagine how better I will like the car once I take the mod game seriously.
Very very true lol I'm trying to find a way to add a C6 to my stable lol
My stable is pretty full now. My Vette, wife's SUV, my F-150, our motorhome and the 73 Tbird I'm restoring doesn't leave much room. Also I'm thinking of going to a Z06 next spring to actually get a little more zip and zoom. If the wallet can take the heat that is. The Tbird belonged to my Dad and I had it in a barn on my farm for almost 30 yrs and DW talked me into restoring it for the experience. I'm almost done but I'll never do another restoration believe me!!
They didn't call these cars "supercars" for nothing, but I think "Dream Car" is more fitting. At least it's a dream car for me, EVERYDAY of the week!
I know there are guys/gals who can have whatever car they want and some that have collected a stable of them.
But for a regualr retired joe like myself....I've been very happy to have the one I got!
That's how I feel too. I have lusted for a C5 since they came out , but put off buying one till this year. I love the car and glad I bought an older one so I could drive it every day. Was planning on garaging it the 1st of Oct. but may have to hold off till the weather starts to turn.
