I like to keep more air in my tires than the 2001 Vette likes, so it is constantly telling me about my "problem". Can I sisable the high pressure warning, or raise the limit?

You Like to put in more than 45 psi???? Not too smart....do you think a 3200 lb vehicle needs to have tire so inflated that they can carry over 2 tons of load...???? the only thing that you are doing is make the tire center high, diminishing the foot print and creating a very unsafe handling situation.. I don't know where you got the notion that filling tires beyond their designed carrying pressure... the tire has a max pressure rating on the side so as to be able to adjust the carry load for the specific vehicle they are on.. What you like, and what works safely and most efficient is designed in by people with at minimum 18 years of schooling... Do you actually think we pulled those tire pressure sensors max and min numbers out of our butt.. As a very logical man, the only reason I could think,( stupid as it is ), is because you like to spin the tires.. diminishing the foot print and making the tires rock hard and center high will indeed diminish the contact patch.. the tires will wear out significantly faster.. I don't care if you have money to burn.. running tire at these pressure can kill someone. Knowingly over inflating your tires, is a criminal offence. you hurt or kill someone and you are going too jail its called manslaughter or criminal negligence.. Now tell us all why " You like to keep your tire pressure higher" than the max designed into the tire pressure warning system.
Grow up!!!!, my children and grandchildren are out on those same streets that you childishly, and irresponsibly drive your car.
There is no love in this post

ON a side note we at GM Design have the expression we always try to make it " Idiot proof "... this guy is a perfect example of a design we tried to make idiot proof, and this idiot wants to over ride or sisable ( disable ) the safety check that we built in.. I would pay for the tattoo, you know the know the one.... " L" ....that could be tattooed on his forehead.

Would be interesting to know why you want to have your tire pressures to high. With the cost of tires these days, as well as safety considerations, it just doesn't make sense.
What tires are you running on and what does the tire say on it for pressure? What's your reasoning for wanting it much higher?
I have a 2001 and never needed/wanted more than 35 in mine.
Hopefully this thread will let cerd know that 45 psi will make his vette drive like a truck. Add to that, the inner tread will wear out way earlier than necessary.
Higher pressures = rides like it's on bricks.
There is a reason why the limit was set to 45 PSI by GM, and chances are this is just about the limit set by the tire manufacturer as well.
If you put more than 45 PSI in your tires, you may want to up your life insurance policy while you're at it. The family will appreciate it.
-- do yourself a huge favor. Go take some air out of your tires bring them to 32 PSI - you don't need more.
.....and then BEFORE you change ANYTHING else ask us on the forum.
That's why we are here -- to give newer folks like you guidance.
We may beat you up a little on here but we also don't want to see a fellow Corvette member do anything stupid and hurt himself, hurt others, or damage his car.
Another thing to remember - mods that compromise safety are frowned upon.
