Default Road Trip!!!

Heading up to my parents house after work today. Around 700 miles between McAlester, OK and Wallace, IN. Only driving about half way today then the other half tomorrow. This will be the longest trip I have taken the car on since I brought her from Decater, AL to McAlester.

If I see any of ya on the road, you can guarantee I will wave!!

Good luck man! I just drove 700 miles from Nashville back to DFW straight through. It was very exhausting, to say the least. Have a safe trip, and keep some distance from tractor trailers...

I just drove from McKinney to College Station, Texas only 220 miles but it was my first road trip in my vette. Didn't get uncomfortable once. I hope you enjoyed your trip as much as I enjoyed mine.

Road trips are the best in a Vette. We drove ours to Nashville to the 50th Anniversary of Corvette convention. What a blast.

Summer before last we drove from Texas to S. Calif. Speed limit on I40 is 75 and i set the cruise on 80 all the way and got 30 mpg. As long as you are on good pavement, the ride is wonderful. Crappy rode...not so wonderful, but that's true for most cars.

I had forgotten about the horse power gain at sea level. One nice afternoon, on Highway 1....top off, down around Newport, I had to nail it. It fishtailed when shifting into second and it doesn't do that in Texas. Mine is now eleven years old and i still love it.
