HVAC display failure

I had no LED display, but I did have HVAC control. So I followed some repair threads and resoldered the 241 resistors. I was a electronic tech for 11 years so I can solder pretty well. Anyway now I have no display and the defroster is constantly on. I have no control to switch to other modes or turn down the blower. I checked the fuses under the hood. Is there something else I should be doing besides swearing?
If all else fails, how much is a new unit, and where can I get one? Thanks.

subscribing...... i have the same issue only mine doesnt light up or anything and was wondering where i can get a new one too

Also, ABSfixer's website advertises the repair for $50.
