Hi, I am looking to get an exhaust for my 98 Vette and just want some opinions on which one to go with! I really wanted to go with Borla but my best friend which also has a black Vette already has it so i'm looking to go a different route. So lets hear your opinions on the two exhaust.
I want something loud and with a very mean sound! So what's your advise???
I had a 98 with b&b bullets and I now have an 02z with ghl bullets. Both had long tube headers and cams. They both sound awesome and are both loud but the b&bs are slightly louder and do have a little more of a drone at cruising speeds. The b&bs tone is slightly more throaty than the ghls especially at idle and sounds amazing but is also very loud at idle so your neighbors may not like it.
Summary, b&b is slightly louder and throatier but not by much, ghls look great and have less drone.
I have the B&B Bullets, with everything else stock. I thought after I bought them and before I put them on that the might be to loud. Not the case. They sound great!!!!
ghl bullets hands down. the tips look way better and it has that deep aggressive tone. bb bullets are a bit louder but once you step into longtube headers and what not they are just blah loud with no tone and drone like crazy
i vote for B&B. I love mine. Full H/C/I car and they turn heads and have gotten many, many people asking me what I had under the hood
I've even had a police officer pull me over because of them.....not for a citation, but he wanted to know what exhaust it was because he wanted it for his C5 lol.
The standard B&B Bullet is the standard by which all Corvette is exhaust is measured. The aggressive, muscle car car tone will get you noticed- which it is designed to do.
Other options would be the new B&B Sport (similar to the Bullet but uses 2 1/2 tube instead of 3") This new system is basically a toned down version of the Bullet and is designed to be less aggressive at cruise.
The PRT, which is agressive under acceleration but quiet at cruise.
The Route 66, which has a great tone and is just slightly louder than stock.
Also remember that all Billy Boat Exhaust Products are hand made in Phoenix, AZ USA.
