Default CAGS Eliminator Present or Not?

Hi,

I'm a relatively new Vette owner - and a VERY happy one I might add - of an '03 Z06. I've noticed the shift from 1st to 4th light come on occasionally but I don't have any issues shifting to 2nd while it is on.

I've looked around on here and it appears that the CAGS eliminator doesn't disable the dash light so I'm guessing the car I purchased already had this installed. I'm just looking to confirm this fact?

Thanks,

I think that is correct. The CAGS will still have the light come on. If it was tuned out, the light does not come on. Congrats on the new Z...

If you take off with very light throttle and you can shift from 1-2, then you have the CAGS eliminator installed. Think of it as a bonus.

Look on the drivers side of the transaxle, there is an electrical plug-if it's unplugged (or plugged with a dummy plug) and the other end is not plugged into it (it will have a filler plug too), you have a CAGS bypass.

Thanks, that's what I thought. I just wanted to be sure. I guess I got a couple of bonuses with the car. Along with the CAGS eliminator, I found a Window Valet plug in the center counsel.
