setting 1997 key fob

Default setting 1997 key fob

purchased a new key fob for 1997 corvette - how do you get the DIC to recognize it? Thank you for any help

!. Turn ignition on.
2. Turn radio off.
3. Press DIC RESET button.
4. Press OPTIONS until display is blank.
5. Press and hold RESET for 3 seconds.
6. Press OPTIONS until FOB TRAINING displayed.
7. Press RESET to begin programming sequence.
8. Simultaneously press and hold LOCK and UNLOCK buttons on
fob for 13 seconds. Message will appear on DIC when remote is
programmed.
9. Turn ignition off and remove key.
10. Test remote.

If you already have 1 you will need to reprogram all remotes.

Repeat step 8, when prompted, for each FOB.
