Posted last week that switches for DIC and Doors have been discontinued and no longer available. Found some in Michigan delivered and installed. Mechanic could not find anybody ro reprogram. Does anybody have any idea. I can now get mileage when car is shut off so hope I can get smogged but need help. Has anybody had this problem.

I get warnings but cannot access buttons by choice.

 

I thought they were just plug and play, there shouldn't be any programming needed. Not sure if there were any internal changes over the years to cause compatibility issues.
Sounds like the ones your mechanic got are defective.

 

Posted earlier that all switches for C5 have been discontinued. I could not get reset to work. Rather than pay $150 for used reset only, I found corvette dealer on ebay selling all 5 for $125, still has some left. His suggestion I purchased both door switches . They are all obsolete. Mechanic who I do trust installed but no fix. He gets everything with the Tech II except cannot change the E/M English Metric. That is the problem that started it all. Driveing down street it would switch from English to Metric, then suddenly not work at all.

I do get warning lights and messages if something is wrong, but cannot push a button and get information. Thank you somebody for telling me how to check mileage on shutoff and also by turning on parking lights.

Mechanic thinks it is a cluster overhaul but place that usually does theirs in California does not touch Corvetts and doesn't know of anybody that does.

Can anybody help me that has had this problem or know of where I should go from here. I am just sick 99 with 70,000 . And I know I will not be the last with this problem.
