brake pads ceramic or ???
I need new brake pads and cannot seem to get a handle on what was OEM and what is not. Were the original pads ceramic? are ceramic better do I need new rotors with ceramic. What is the best choice right now. Any suggestions or comments appreciated,

AC-Delco Durastop pad kits (front and rear). Comes with new spring clips and new caliper mounting bolts.
Unless you are tracking the vehicle, OEMs are very good price/performance.

I use AC Delco durastop ceramics on mine and they are MUCH cleaner, very low dusting and what dust does end up on the wheels is light grey so not noticeable. However when I put the same pads on the wifes' Red Line the wheels still get ugly so it may depend on the type of rotors too??

I've still got the OEM pads on my '03, but on my '00 I went with Hawk HPS pads - I liked them.

It's funny how our experiences are different. I had the Hawk HPS pads & the dust was driving me crazy!
I now run the Napa Ceramics for my car. Very, very ow dusting & great breaking. Good luck!

If you want a brake pad that is low dusting with the stoping power of the oem I would look at the Carbotech Bobcat 1521 compound.
