I have a set 0f 245/45-17 8.5" wagon wheel rims and on the drivers side the front tire scrapes the fender on the inside. Its been like this since i bought it in july.
Could the frame not be straight? the bumper not attached correctly?
this is what it looks like, do you guys have more room for the tire to rotate? i just bought some zo6 reps. the fronts are 9.5 do you think the extra width will cause more of a problem than my original 8.5" rims
carfax was clean he must have paid out of pocket....do you think a bent frame could cause one tire to be infront of another. the car still drives great, doesn't wander

Even with the wider rims, you should have absolutely no problems with the tire rubbing the fender. There should be plenty of room. I'd say you may have had some damage to the car that threw things out of alignment.

I have a lot more space there than what your pic shows. Something is out of whack!

If your car has a good alignment, you do not have a frame/suspension issue. It is likely you have body panels that are misaligned or repairs to the body that have not been done properly. look at your door to fender gaps and fender to hood gaps. They should be even on both sides and top to bottom.
