Thank you for the link but that diffuser is hideous at best. It probably wouldn't look too bad if the top of the diffuser was near flush to the rear fascia skin and not sticking 2" out. It just don't look right.
If I knew how to somewhat make one, I would try and draft some plans up for a metal shop and have it perfected and mounted somehow. There has got to be a way.....
Problem is to test one takes many tests, and even measurable factors. Even though you want something mainly for looks you may be able to just replicate the C5R's. Only hard part is making it functional.

Yeah, I hear ya...But at this stage, I am not so much looking for exceptional functionality as much as looks. I know that is a huge contrast, looks vs functionality, but it is what it is. I just wrote a gentleman I found on this forum from back in 2009/2010 and it looked pretty good. I will see if I can dig it up again....
Actually, no. I know that look is not for most, but then again, I am not most. I am me. And I do like that look. The C6 has a similiar (yet lighter version) offered by HighTech. One of the guys on this forum has it on his C6 (which very closely resembles that of a C6-R) and I think it looks awesome. Yes, it is not for most, but if I could work that on with a front splitter and C5-R wing, I'd be set. That is the ultimate look I am striving for with an end-state sometime in the distant future to swap my Forged 402 to a Forged 427 (Possibly Katech, to keep the heritage) So, surely in jest? No. But I hope you got a good laugh out of it.
There are a few C6 diffusers available. You got to do a GOOGLE search and click PHOTOS. You will see a few available.
What does that have to do with what I asked? The shape of my exhaust was designed to flow with the rear bumper of the c5, and the c6 is quite different, diffusers and all. If you don't know what I'm referring to, then you got to do a GOOGLE search and click PHOTOS.
Ps: why don't you try being a little helpful and post whatever pics you've found...instead of being a jerk and just telling people to search?

Wow, if I responded with my first thoughts of what you wrote, it wouldn't be clean.
Listen, "dude", this is not my thread and I didn't want to HIJACK IT any more than what we been skirting the line already. As for the description of your exhaust, what the fk, do you think I can clearly envision wtf you are describing? So, do a GOOGLE SEARCH and see WTF would fit your exhaust that you are referring. It's not my responsibility to post up 5 or 6 different types of photos for you to say "Nahhh, that won't work." So, stop being lazy. As for exhaust on a C5 vs a C6 or diffusers to work with either one, I was certain I read you had a C6. So if you have a C5, yes, it won't work.

So back on track...I would love a c6 diffuser, but I have the SLP Powerflo exhaust on mine and it probably wouldn't go. Any thoughts?
......And I WONDER where I got the idea you had a C6 and not a C5. Perhaps YOU could be a little more clear in your quest and maybe upload a photo of your exhaust to show what you are referring to. (Or should I do that for you too?)
Looks like the thread needs a diffuser....or a de-escalator....
With the way the C5 cat backs are designed, I really can't imagine how a decent looking (to me) diffuser would look and still fit the exhaust. I'd almost rather just see the rear "vents" modified than have a whole diffuser panel.

You've never heard of an SLP Powerflo exhaust? This is a CORVETTE forum...so I figured most people would be relatively familiar with some of the common aftermarket exhausts. As it is, I'm already familiar with the c6 diffusers, but if you've found one that might work, I'd appreciate it. You can go to all the effort to write a scathing response but you can't post a pic? And what's with the "dude" crap?
BTW, this is what the exhaust looks like:

*Looks at the top of the page*
Corvette Forum > C5 Corvettes, 1997 - 2004 > C5 General > Xtreme Rear bumper with diffuser?
*Shakes head*
So let me see...I'm posting on a thread where a vendor is talking about developing a c6 diffuser on a c5, and when I say I like the idea, you're confused?
Apparently all you're interested in doing is flaming people instead of helping with the discussion, so I wouldn't dream of asking anything from you.
I think a more aggressive diffuser with decently pronounced fins or some sort of aggressive moulding in carbon would look very good if done correctly, and I would certainly be interested in buying something along those lines..
Well, I can't speak for the guys quibbling about what exhaust will work, but I would like to see that Supervettes diffuser shown above on the back of my C5Z. I'll just have my current Borla exhaust modded to work. I have a 2-tip system, so I just need the tailpipes lengthened to bring the tips together in the center. Easy!
I would think you could make one like the caravaggio and leave the screen solid. Then you could cut it to fit the type of exhaust you have.
I shopped this on my car just to get an idea.

Lol, wait...didn't you just tell me not to copy stuff in another thread

We can probably make it look however we like (within reason) However I would prefer if it covered to whole lower valance as compared to the Caravaggio where you can see the outline, I just think it would look cleaner. This is the issue we ran into a while ago though, some wanted for 2 tip and some wanted for 4, don't think we can justify making both. It's a tough call, only way I can see making it work would be if we made it in 2 separate pieces. The main portion being the standard diffuser and then a center piece that is bolted on that would allow 2 or 4 tips. I would have to discuss that with manufacturing.
