Default Laser Interceptor with V1

Already posted this in Audio/Electronics, but wanted to get a wider audience. Plus warn Florida Corvette owners!

FHP using them like crazy lately. My Valentine One has been a trusted friend for 12 years. The laser detector on it is on the fritz....lots of false positives.....so I began to ignore it. Last week, bam! Got me. Today I passed 4, yes 4 different laser traps on I-4 between Orlando and Lakeland. Good thing I was paying attention but damn. Never had a real hit until the last two weeks, so I guess Florida is in laser mode now. I am looking to upgrade my V1 and get the integrated Laser Interceptor package. Anyone running this setup?

It's the only way to fly, V1 & LI. As far as I could tell when I was researching this last year, I am one of the only C5 Z06's using a LI.

I have only had one encounter with New Jersey's finest this year, since mine is not a daily driver. No problems at all with the system other than some power issues during installation.

Hopefully you don't have a Z06 or the screens in the fog light area, as that is the best place to install the sensors on a C5. I have mine installed in the brake duct areas and use the high performance heads for greater coverage, since I am not at the best mounting location.

I am happy with them, only wish the audio signal was louder and I might add a LED light to the system as an extra warning signal.

I had my set up tested by a local moderator from a Radar/Laser Detector Forum, with four different laser guns with the latest software and my Corvette was invisible to him. No readings with the headlights on/up or off/down. I mounted mine with bubbles out for greater off axis protection.

Onto the pictures;

I do have Z06 screens, so looks like a brake duct install for me too! Did you do the back as well?
Thanks man. Great info. Gonna pull the trigger!

Why not contact ValentineOne and inquire about repair or replacement? They are pretty good with a replacement price for current owners. I have the V1 and the M27 Blinder.

May not be acting up, you are aware that the Infinity SUV's have a laser cruise control? Sets my V1 off everytime. Keep an eye out in oncoming traffic and see of there is an Infinty SUV passing you going the other direction.

Plus the new Audi's and Benz's will also set off your V1's with their cruise and lane departure sensors.

Blinder M47 would be the one I would buy. In Illinois here it's only a $50 fine if caught running it but they can remove it from the vehie at the scene. Something about smokey ripping at my front clip stopped me from the install.......for now lol

The best radar detector won't help against laser. Can only block it

Naw,,just meant not driving quite so fast!! MOST of the time I try to keep it within the "fudge factor",,,of REASONABLE officers!! Many will be lenient with under 10 over,,but not a given for sure.Something like the V1 might help in that area,,unless you are the only one out there.
