The driver's seat of my car needs some attention. The foam is completely sacked out, the seat track does that slight rocking thing and the lumbar and bolster adjustments don't work. When I push the buttons, I hear the humming of a motor, but there is no adjustments happening. I got a set of replacement foams but have NO idea how to go about changing them. Is there anything I can do about the lumbar and bolster power adjustments? The seat track repair I can find online somewhere.
Thanks!
One more thing...here are the small tears in the seat bottom...do you think they can be repaired, or should I just get another bottom cover to put on?

Sounds like the lumbar air bags no longer work. The tore up seat foam could indicate that one of the air bags have ruptured or the plastic hose has cracked, broken, etc. The good thing is you hear the motors working so they should be OK.
Time to pull the seat out, take off the skins, install some new air sacks, new foam and perhaps some new leather skins as well. While the seat is out, I also suggest the rocking seat fix.
I just installed new seats skins/foam and even though the skins looked great and the seats were well maintained, how tore up the driver's seat/door seat lateral seat bolster foam was tore up. I think it has a lot to do with how we get in/out of our cars. I have a tight fit in my garage because I tend to park it close to the far wall and as a result, I squeeze in and sort of fall into the seat or I use the seat bolster to push out. I've learned not to do that as a result.
Hello Ben, go to "vetteessentials.com" and look for " full custom seat cover installation procedure" this will help you alot, it has good pictures.
I did mine a few years ago and they came out great. And its not that hard to do, just take your time and you'll be fine.
Good luck, Jim
If you can swing $750, you can redo your whole interior, myself and MSGC5 have DJ Motorsports interiors. they give new leather skins 100% leather, padded armrest cover, very soft, shifter boot, E brake boot, and Visor covers, It's a complete package. I got mine with 2 new HD cushions delivered for $758, and the leather is very nice.
Feels like a whole new car, Hey AL post up some pics of your interior?

Lots of helpful links on this forum. Follow the info that has been provided and you should be good to go. And if you don't feel comfortable changing out the seat foam yourself, a good upholstery shop can do it for you for a nominal charge.
This is what I did to fix the lumbar in my seats. The bladders that I list are no longer available, but toward the end of the post someone has graciously listed the new part numbers to use instead. Good luck.
