In its day it was a nice car, but like any other older car they don't hold their value.
If the car was that much of a collectible it would be sold on Barrett Jackson or some other high end auto auction site.
Personally, for that kind of money I would pick up a nice used C6 Z06 and pocket the remaining $60K. I'm sure the C6 Z06 would way out perform the C12 in every category.
Seems pretty petty to slam the car, it's a great looking "Super car" like package. It's no different than those of us here who take the C5 to another level of customization, other than the amount of money. If it was priced within my means I too would buy it. There will be someone with the money who will be very happy owning it.

There was at least one C12 which sold at Barrett Jackson. I believe it sold for $110k. It was the blue one w/ orange interior
Most C12s sell on the private market. The one called "Inky Blue" is pictured above and features a blue-tinted carbon fiber body. The detail work is amazing! Anyways, it sold a couple years ago for $400k
Regarding the yellow C12, it is on consignment and when it sells, it sells... In the meantime, it should be pointed out that most C12s had our optional 485 hp or 550 hp naturally aspirated engines, And as far as a new Z06 "way out-performing" the car, dream on...
Cheers
Maybe in tire wear, the new Z06 could beat the C12. But even that might be close

It does not look like the current owner or seller know what they have then !!!
As for performance, less than $7K would allow the C6 Z06 to out perform this older out of date car. Technology and science continue to move on such a fast rate, that a 14 year old car like that is very dated.
It's glory days are way behind it, however it's still a nice car and somebody who is a collector will probably jump at the chance to get their hands on it.
in ten years look at the value of a 2011 Zr1 and this ...
It is obvious though that this dealer has no clue about the car though.
I would take a c12 in a heartbeat over a zr1, It may not preform as well but its not that far off. Its one of a very few which will guarantee high resale whenever you decide to move on.
