I invited a friend to a car show with me a couple of weeks ago. On the way back he told me that he was considering selling his Corvette. I've wanted his car for almost 6 years. I asked him for how much he'd sell it. When he told me, I asked him not to list it for one week. When I got home my wife was asleep. The next day (Saturday) I asked her opinion on selling the Camaro and buying a Corvette. She didn't really care one way or the other, honestly, but it got me in her good graces.
I sold the Camaro Sunday, and bought the Corvette Monday.
The car is a 1999 FRC. Everything that you can do to one of these has been done outside of forced induction. It's pretty quick. 402/H/C/I/ etc.
looks good. the front looks lowered on the stock bolts but the back still looks stock. maybe lower the back and get it setting level. enjoy the FRC. Black is an awesome color.
I don't know if it's been lowered at all. I hate the wheel gap, but I just can't bring myself to lower it. Louisiana roads are crap.
I installed the drilled and slotted rotors with ceramic pads, and changed the oil (Amsoil)
I made my Camaro so "unstreetable" that it was miserable to drive. I plan on putting a TON of miles on this car. I drove the Camaro 19K miles in 8 years. What the hell was I saving it for? I won't make that mistake again.
Congratulations HiltonFerg on you new Vette! Awesome Ride isn't it?
28 3/4 in the rear? Yes it can definitly come down a little without it hurting a thing. Just back the rear bolts out till there's about three threads left on top. Your Ride will set level.
There are some rough roads here in Oklahoma, an I yet to have bottomed out. Just lowered>>>>>>
And Welcome to Forum, "The Best Corvette Community Around", where you're sure to meet a lot of Great People and see a lot of Awesome Vettes
Thanks everyone for the warm welcome. The next pics I post will have tire shine and probably a different ride height, at least in the back. After looking at other cars similar to mine; it seems both front and rear are high.
