Another driving season has come to an end here in northern Minnesota. I took the "Vet" for its last drive of the season yesterday. It was a perfect "Corvette" day as I like to call them. Blue sky and sunshine. As much as I regret putting the car away I will look forward to getting it out next spring. For now the car has a fresh oil change. plugged into a battery tender, and the cover on it.All I can do now is wait for the snow to melt, the grass to get green, and the cover to come off the "Vet". At least I will have something to look forward to, Another perfect "Corvete" day.

I don't put mine up for the winter. I drive it year round as long as the weather permits. If it snows I wait for a rain to wash off the roads so at times it may go a month, but as soon as it rains and washes the roads off, I take it for a drive even if it's just to work.
I don't think letting cars sit is good for them. But I also understand living in climates that don't allow for driving them. We get some bad weather but typically not enough to keep me out of it all winter long. I've seen some winters you could practically drive it all winter long.

I hear ya. Here in the metro we maybe have a week or so til the winter slumber. Did ya take the north shore drive? Tough to beat the fall scenery in Duluth, MN.
Tue. and Wed. are supposed to be nice around here. Out for a cruise, fill with gas then a bath and a layer of BWD then covered and on the Ctek for the winter
High of 80 here today. Washed the C5 and ready to drive her tomorrow to work; the only thing I look forward to on Monday mornings. Sorry you had to put your's to sleep.
i feel your pain i live right smack on the snow belt prob another 2 weeks and ill have to put her in hibernation till about march. but the feeling of getting behind the wheel is like purchasing the car all over again what a great feeling oh well i look at it as a way to let my mods list begin for spring time
Just finished prepping my 2003 convertible yesterday for it's long winter nap. The weather bureau predicts a long hard winter for the Great Lakes area and there just aren't enough nice days to justify a second prepping. Spring will come and the top will come down!

i'm not surrendering to that weather bitch yet! none of us can guarantee we'll be around in the spring! Supposed to be 62 in NE Ohio and as the Willie Wilson song goes:On the Road Again.
HEY GM, HOW ABOUT AN AWD OPTION FOR THE C7...
TAKE A LOOK AROUND AT THE COMPETITION AND GET A CLUE ALREADY

Very glad you enjoyed your last cruise (I mean that!) I will personally drive mine though snow. salt. gravel (I-95 repaving), big boobed women, and/or small boobed women......(might have gone too far on that one), ain't it great!?! This car is a daily driver. I will leave it on the road (AAA) before I park it!
