I woulsn't take that as an insult.
I will say this after having a 1999 WS6 and a C5, They are a lot a like in some ways, You have to own one to know what I am talking about....
Mr.Bill
Really hated the tacky mid '70's Firebirds with the screaming chicken and other decals, (Smoky & the Bandit) Other then the wide body C6's I perfer the smooth clean looks of the C5 lines IMO.
I had a Firebird myself back about 1978. After Smokey and the Bandit the black Trans Am was the car to have. But of course I had a custom vette too. That was my first Vette. Have had a Corvette ever since.
I made a slight adjustment to your photo. Just had to move your C5 out from behind your WS6
Never had a Firebird but a '69 Z28 & a 70 SS Camaro, first Vette was a bone stock 1 owner '65 Roadster 300hp., 327 4 spd., which I bought in 1972 for $3200.00 & 28k. miles. The good old days! having said that, I still perfer my C5Z., great car.
I agree, from a distance, coming at you, the T/A looks a liitle like a Vette. I always get ready to wave until it gets a little closer and then I realize it's not a Vette. Maybe I need new glasses

That red T/A in your post looks great! After I sold my 72 Vette, I tried to purchase a new 79 T/A, Nocturn Blue, 403 CI, last year for that motor, with shaker hood and decals...beautiful car, from a dealer. The dealer wanted to send it out to put T Tops on it, which I didn't want. Since it was the last one on the dealer lot, I told the dealer that I had a potential buyer for my Vette and as soon as I closed the deal, I would purchase his car.
Couple of days later, I run to the dealer with money inhand only to be informed that they shipped it out to do the T Top conversion. Now I needed to purchase a new vehicle and ended up buying a Grand Prix that the dealer made me a great deal on. One of the worst decisions I ever made.
