Firebird?
My C6 friend calls my C5 a Firebird! 
I think he's jealous.
he only has a C6 . . . doesn't have the smooth flowing lines of the timeless C5.
When cruising down the road, I know how a shark must feel when swiming through swarms of smaller fish. But, this shark is grining from ear to ear.

That is actually pretty funny. 
It isn't really an insult in my book at least, seeing as T/A's are beautiful, classic looking cars (at least in my book.) There definitely are resemblances with the popups, and the C5 hood looks like a Firehawk hood.

Go to the dollar store and buy him some x275 reading glasses. Give them to him and tell him he needs them if he thinks your Vette looks like a Bird. I like Birds too and own a couple, but they don't compare to the vette. I didn't even get my 77 T/A out of the garage this summer. Spent all of my time in the Vette, loving every minute. I prefer the C5 over the C6 in looks and driving. They are a little quicker however, both can get you into trouble in a heartbeat. If you get those glasses for him get the biggest pair you can find.

Granted, the C5 front end does in fact have a little Pontiac in it, but I'll take the overall looks of the C5 over the C6 any day. Can never get past all the additional black plastic krap
and those stupid headlights. I mean c'mon...hide-a-ways were iconic for over 40 years.

before i bought my vette i was looking at the c6 vettes..and to be honest...for me the lil bit of extra money i would of spent to get a base c6 i spent less and got a c5 z06 and imo got much more of car...i would not change a thing...plus in my area you see a lot less of the c5z's or frc's then any vette....

I love my C5, but quite honestly there is no way I'd turn down a C6 - especially a Z06. They both look great IMO.
!!Now the earlier generation and the C4's maybe,,both a little wedgie looking!! Just say nice C4 about his C6 and see what he thinks
