I got a great deal on a used ARH exhaust...headers, catless x-pipe and 2 1/2" connector pipes to reach the catback, but I've run out of money and will be installing this exhaust to a stock LS1 catback. "What will happen"

I put LT ARH with their high flow cat x-pipe on my stock 2004 C5 and it dyno'd at 340.29 hp and 354.82 torque for a basic street tune. Since then I added CAI and a magnaflow exhaust. Haven't checked to see what it's putting out with the additions.

You will be fine, it will feel better but still be slightly restrictive and doing mufflers (Hiflow) will enable your system to operate even more efficiently!

Make sure that you do a Dyno tune to take advantage of the LT's etc.

Thanks,Matt

Makes sense, I'd like to be adding the Corsa Touring, just don't have the $$$ right now. I am considering doing the bypass muffler mod (even though its base mufflers). Anyone have part numbers and manufacturer on the exhaust manifold gaskets as well as the catback gaskets? thanks

(1)If you do the muffler bypass mod - any muffler shop can do it, they are the the C5 Z06 Titanium that need special welding.

(2) Believe it or not but you "WILL" re-use your STOCK exhaust manifold gaskets for the headers, no need to get anything else, you will see what I mean when you remove the stock manifolds, they don't get any better than the factory multi layer ones

(3) Here is a good link with video of the sound and write-up for the muffler bypass mod

Thanks,Matt

Tuning on a dyno is completely unnecessary. A street tune will be plenty sufficient.

The new exhaust will hook right up to your stock catback system. Won't sound as good as say a Corsa or some other aftermarket system, but you will notice a power increase.
