Zo6 or coupe

Melting Slicks
The Z06 rear wheel brake cooling ducts ruin the important, clean side appearance of the FRC Hardtop.
Can't take the hatchback look of the Coupe.
Hope this helps.

In re to a C5, i personally like the look of the Z better. Regarding the C6's, they are all the same, looks wise. So to appease me, i own a C5Z commemorative and a C6Z and a C6 coupe.

Ouch! I think the Z06's look a lot meaner than the regular coupes. Its all a matter of opinion... I think some people are just biased towards what they have too. Personally, I think the coupes look plain compared to the Z06's. Its all just a matter of opinion. And, I like the "race car" feel that the Z06 provides.

I owned a 02 Z06 and loved it but I have an 02 Convertible that's just about as fast as my Z and I love the top down look. With the top up it looks like the Z but when the top goes down the price goes up. If you drag race though, it's a pain if it gets in the 12's. Have to have a roll bar and most make the convertible ugly.

Ain't it great! Vettes of all styles have very loyal owners! All of us are right and Mustangs still suck!

Z06 FRC is a mean car. I like it even more that the hardtop is unique to the C5 platform. It's pretty simple in terms of preference...z06=guy that likes performance and road course capability, coupe/vert=people who like their hair blowin in the wind with a little spunk and a corvette badge

When i was looking for a vette, i LOVED the z06, but thought that i might only be able to afford a coupe. When i would look at the coupes, i looked for them to have the Z06 wheels etc.
When it actually came the time to buy one, there was virtually NO price difference. There were people asking 22k+ for 57k mile frc's!
Hey, you can ask whatever you want to ask, but i had money to buy, and people that were asking amounts like that i did not even bother with, so i got the car of my dreams with 23k miles for much less than many were asking for frc or coupes.
So, i like the styling of the Z06, it is awesome to me.

Appearance-wise I like them both. The Coupe looks more sleek though. Performance wise, stock for stock, the Z06 would be the choice.
Here's my grocery getter. Looks a little nicer than a Vega imo. Given the choice I don't think anyone would choose a vega over this:
I think that everyone here would agree, well there is one person that would not.
I usually respect others opinions but not when they are derogatory.
At a glance, most people cannot tell the difference between a C5 Corvette Coupe and a C5 FRC. I have owned each body style C5 so choosing the Coupe was not because I settled or because I am a wannabe. Most people who make this type of purchase are not going to settle on the model.
Fact: The C5 Coupe outsold the C5 FRC bodystyle by almost 4 to 1. I don't think that nearly 125,000 people were settling on their $50K purchase.

I love them all equally but i have a coupe because I love the open air feel...and I am turning my coupe into similar performance to a zo6 with a reasonable investment....btw www.caravaggiocorvettes.com will add a removeable top to your zo6 and it looks sweet...

Same exact scenario for me. Occasionally I think about being able to take off a targa roof panel, but then I mash the throttle on my modded Z and that thought is quickly erased. I have considered the Caravaggio targa mod but the money can be better spent elsewhere on the car.

I shudder every time I see the word Vega. THO' I do like the look of the hatchback version.

I truly don't understand why people, who are on this forum because of shared interest in a particular car, chose to be derogatory and even downright nasty to a fellow member who on another thread could possibly provide help and encouragement

Sorry you were offended, well no I'm not actually. Think about why the coupe outsold the hardtop and get back to us. I really want to read this one.
And I deleted my post just for you, seems you can't have an opinion around here without someone getting all butt hurt.
