Everyone loves the z. Is there anyone that would rather have a coupe with the targa top over a z?

Lots of ppl prefer the coupe. I personally don't like open top cars at all (whether they're targa, t-top, or vert).

I also prefer the lnes of the z over the coupe's hatch.

Completely!!!

And to add, vert/targa=possible leaky leaky.

I like both. I didn't want a vert because I plan on taking my car to the track.

When it came down to choosing which to buy I went with the best value for the money. I have to admit, though, that putting that top in the trunk is nice.

We had more trouble stopping water leaks from around the windows in a Z than a coupe. We finally sold it.

I like my coupe a lot. You can't beat an open top on a nice day.

I may be in the minority, but I like the coupe. The lines, and top on, top off.

when i got my vette i really did want a coupe..but i also wanted what the Z had to offer...and if you have the money you can have your Z converted to a targra roof..but imo kinda pointless...i ended up with the Z as my vette and to be honest i love it..in my area there are not many around, so it makes people look twice , plus i also perfer the lines of the Z over the coupe as silly as that may sound!

I preferred the coupe because I like the lines of the roof. I don't like the notch back of the Z. I also like the coupe because of the storage room and removable top.

You can always mod a coupe to be = to or better than a Z.

I've had both. There are days I miss being able to take the top off. But I much prefer the looks of my Z and the performance difference is significant

I like the looks of the Coupe better. Apparently GM does to. Have you seen a FRC C6?

Also can haul more stuff if you need to.

I like the looks and performance of the Z06's more. It's an all around better car, but you'll pay for it! The only real benefit the coupe has is the price tag. I personally think if you have plans on modding it, you're better off with the coupe also, since chances are, you're going to take the parts that make a Z06, a Z06 out (obviously with the exception of the roof and body). I no longer have the stock LS6 cam, heads, headers, and other performance parts that separated it from the coupes.

All depends on your intentions with the car.

But the frc and z06 are great if you do not care or need the extra cargo room.

WOW!!! That sucks. I hope I never have to deal with that.

I actually have read where a couple of members have had issues at the back seams where the fixed roof meets the quarter panel, but never around the windows... until now.

To the OP...When initially looking for a Corvette, I was only looking at coupes and verts because I wanted the medium spiral grey color and did not want to deal with the M6. But after driving all three models with both trannys, it was clear to me that I had to have the Z. Damn, why couldn't chevy offer the Z in MSG.

To sum it all up, I like 'em all for different reasons, but made my choice and never looked back with regrets.

If I'ld chosen any other model, I'm sure I would have been just as content. For cryin' out loud, it's still a corvette.

I sorta had a buyer that was looking for a black Z to turn it into a race car. The money was good and he did not mind the musty interior. he was gutting the car out anyway.
It was a good deal for both of us.
