i have a 2004 Commerative Vert. i have a place on side of console bezel where original paint is wearing off. guess one's knee can remove paint. i know the exterior is LeMans Blue and interior is Shale. but the console bezel is darker. kind of a Taupe or chocolate looking color. i do not have a build sheet, but ordered one. anyone have any ideas? i do know that when you refinish these parts you use vinyl dye. all input welcome. thanks
Lemans Ed,
I found your post on the interior dye, I have a 2003 Anniversary edition with the two tone "Shale" interior. How did your Medium Neutral work out?
Thank you,
George
george,
the color worked out ok, i think it was mixed wrong; it had a bit of purple tint to it. so i redid it with an aerosol. i have at the current time added a Band I dash kit that sets it off. i ordered from www.carid.com. i chose blue carbon fiber for my exterior, they have wood grains and lots of colors. your model is a 50th anniversary edition if i am correct and should have like a ruby metallic exterior.
Ed,
Thats correct, the exterior, called Anniversary Red, is like a ruby/cranberry color, very nice color.
The interior is what is killing me right now, some posts indicate the color is Medium Dark Neutral, but I have only been able to find medium neutral advertised in the regular places. I bought the Shale color and later realized that is the color for the seats, lower dash and door panels.
I am trying to paint a replacement defroster vent grill and HUD Bezel as both parts are sun damaged. Thankfully the leather is fine.
I'll keep looking and thank you for the response,
George
