I have a cousin who has a car lot in Huntsville AL. Many years ago, he came across a 93' Camry that had been sitting in storage for many years, and only had 6000 mi on it. We bought it for $6500, and I now have 113,000 mi on it. My husband said when we bought it, they had a reputation of lasting forever, and I thought "crap, I don't want to drive this forever!!". It has been a good car, and virtually trouble free.
Makes me appreciate the vette even more tho, every time I slide in behind the wheel and go for a spin.
02 coupe is my only car. Drive it everyday unless it's one of the 2-3 random days we actually get snow or ice, then I just work from home. I've put about 6k on it since I got it in June including a 1200 mile trip drive to and from northern Ohio.
I usually won't leave with my '97 when it's raining, but if I'm out when it rains it's no big deal. '96 Ford Ranger Supercab is my grocery getter in the rain.
I mainly don't like the way the Vette pulls in large puddles, other than that it's great in the rain.
04 CE coupe is daily driver. Bought it in Jan with 8900 miles on it, now has 23,000. Like many others wasn't going to drive it this much but it is too much fun. Have 06 Pontiac Solstice with 15k. Was going to drive '10 Buick LaCrosse but wife took that, now drive her Nissan Cube when weather is bad. Fun to drive but her picture on side for advertising sometimes gets me funny looks! Letting son drive my 91 MR2 because gas is so high.
Haven't needed the truck too much recently so the better gas mileage Vert has been seeing DD use. The 6spd is a bit of a pain in traffic and it winds up needing detailing more often; no complaints, I'm in New Orleans and can drive it year 'round.
