possible bad float in the tank.
Low coolant message comes from the side tank, not the radiator.
Check connection at the float then check and see if float is stuck or bad.
To do that, just unplug the float wiring and short the 2 wires out with a paper clip, if the message goes away, then it's your float.
i just replaced the surge tank a few weeks ago. just checked it over and on the front of the tank there is a line indicating "full cold" and the level was not up to that point, so i filled the tank. will see if the message goes away now.
