if you're wanting to just switch the bulbs, you can pry off the cover.
if you're replacing the whole assembly, it's easy enough to take the interior panel out by unscrewing the black plastic nuts (the ones that are for the cargo cover and net at the top, the others are down in the compartments), and they should slide up and out of the panel.
If your curious. The lighting on the floor is the LED's. The lighting on the seats is the OEM lighting from the Map lights.
LED's are much brighter and easier on your eyes, JMO.

REAL nice! I can see a big difference.
I still don't understand how to change the map lights in the mirror..
If you'd like to take it a step further, add some LED strips to the under the rails in the cargo area.
These are easy to add on to the cargo LED wires. Go get the some small, red quick splices from a parts store, pull the panels out, and clamp the strips to the cargo light wires.
The trick, particularly if you use blue like I did, is getting the tint of the colors to match. I left the strips in place, and removed the bulbs.

One of my local customers did this with our footwell kit. It's plug n play but you have to route the wires behind the housing.
