My GY F1's have a code of 6601. What year are they from? Are they actually 01 tires? I have an 03 Z with 30k so there not original.
The reason I want to know is they seem hard and I cant hook up at all. If they are newer I'm going to rule out GY as a replacement tire because they are terrible. Ive been reading alot of posts here on tires. But want some recomendations. I want to get a tire that will hook up(my z is stock)and its ok if I only get 7-10k miles out of them.
6601 is not a date code. The first 2 digits will go from 01 to 52 indicating the week of the year the tires were made. The last two digits will be 00 to 11 for the year. This is for tires made after Jan. 1, 2000. For tires made earlier there is only 3 digits. The first 2 are the week and the last digit is the year in the nineties the tire was made.
