Well I finally got my brand new Dewitts Radiator installed. For those of you that don't know, I had a previous post in the tech section as I was having compatability issues with my radiator. To make a long story short, the 01 vette was a transition year for the A4 with the transmission cooler lines going from an inverted flared fitting to a quick disconnect metric. Turns out mine had the metric port without quick disconnects. Here is a link to that thread with pics of the fitting for those of you who run into the same problem.
Well everything was finally staightened out thanks to the help of John and Tom Dewitts - thanks guys for helping me and seeing this thing through and making sure I got the right radiator.
Below are pics of my Dewitts Radiator installation. I very happy with it. I had no issues during installation, slid right in and everything lined-up. You'll notice its twice the thickness of the oem radiator so you'll have twice the cooling capacity. Once installed, I ran the engine and she stays constant at 190 deg. Very happy, and worth every penny in my opinion.
OEM radiator which was cracked on top and was leaking.
Thanks guys, I do keep her very clean. To the point that sometimes I think I have a sickness. The other day I showed my car to a friend of mine and he said "Do you even drive this car". Well I do, and I enjoy driving it as much as I enjoy wrenching and cleaning.
Yes those are dual catch cans that I got from CCA which is a forum vendor. Let me tell you, those thing really work. They'll keep your exhaust tips and intake much cleaner.
I kept the stock fans, but Dewitts does offer a fan upgrade which doubles the airflow to 3200 cfm and has an aluminum shroud instead of plastic.
It is a shame the radiator gets covered up, but at least I know it's there doing its' job.

Thanks for the comments guys.
Looks great! How hard are the catch cans to install? Do the braided hoses come with the cans or are they separate?

Nice job! And I think a lot of us can relate to your "sickness". LOL
Nice work! I installed a Dewitts with the C6 oil-cooler option a few months ago and had a "fun" install I posted about. The oil-cooler lines definitely take the install to a new level. Glad your install experience was uneventful in comparison. Here are a couple of pics that show the slight differences.

not the op here but the cans are easy to put in and I have not seen one with that kind of line come with the kit. But I am sure you can get all that cheaper thur summit are jegs.....Robert
Perhaps a dumb question, however what are the tell-tale signs that you need to swap your radiator? Is it to improve performance based on other intake-type mods or is this simply a result of time or miles on the clock?
I have never had to replace a radiator on any of the vehicles I've ever owned, however the C5 pampering and performance addiction is different...

Thanks. Why two cans vs. one? Is is based on driving style or track events? I've never seen two installed before.
Usually the plastic GM radiators fail in the top area, right around where the top hose connects, which is where mine was leaking. I thought about replacing with an oem but after researching a little, I went with the all aluminum for several reasons.
1. double the cooling capacity
2. quality construction
3. longevity
As far as the catch cans go there are different setups. The most popular way is to run the valve covers to one can (with a T fitting) and the PCV system to the other can.
People that have significant oil blow by hook them up in series, PCV line to top of can1, side of can1 to top of can2, side of can2 back to manifold. It was actually a very easy install.
Below is a link from LS1 tech forum that shows all the different ways to hook up. Scroll down and you wil see hook ups for single can, dual can, with turbos, etc.
