Default Original Build ticket?

Is there a way to find the original build ticket for my car? Just curious about which tires it came with.

Any Chevrolet dealer can run a build sheet with your VIN

Charlie,

You can get this from the Corvette Museum.

https://store.corvettemuseum.com/ser...buildsheet.asp

or you can call them at 1-800-53vette.

You get a discount on anything the museum sells if you are a member. If you want to know more about this. Call me.

Call the museum. It is probably in your car but you would have to remove the bumper in order to look into the front section of the frame to see if it is there. The museum will have the same info for a fee without having to take the car apart.

You can't buy just the build sheet, you must also purchase the window sticker, Cost $70 for both

IMO, the window sticker is more interesting anyway.

You are probably right. From the sample on the website, the build sheet looks a lot different than the 'line setting ticket' I used to see when I worked at the GM plant in Tarrytown. In fact the ticket for my '78 Scout 2 was also more readable.

Goodyear specifically designed new wider, "grippier" tires for the Z06. Called Goodyear Eagle F1 SC (Supercar) tires, they allowed the Z06 to handle, brake, and perform better than any production Corvette yet tested. These same tires can be found on other super-high-performance vehicles such as the Ford GT, and differ from the Goodyear Eagle F1 GS EMT tires provided as factory equipment on C5 coupés and convertibles as follows:

Coupes/conv ------ Z06
Front P245/45ZR-17 P265/40ZR-17
Rear P275/40ZR-18 P295/35ZR-18

It came from the factory with the Goodyear Eagle F1 Supercar tires in the 265/295 sizes listed above.
