Security Light question
I have a 98 coupe with 90K miles, my security light came back on after I started driving, I turned the car off, removed the key, waited a couple of minutes, tried again, lamp lite again, I was able to drive 35 miles home without any issue. Anyone else ever see this? any ideas why?

Do you hang a load of heavy stuff on your key ring? As the ignition barrel wears, heavy stuff can cause the VATS pellet to lose contact. If it does, the security light comes on. The good news is at least the car started. It must have seen the pellet to allow it to start up in the first place.
