Agreed. If your calipers are looking bad why not just clean them up and paint them? It's not that difficult and you can do it with them on the car if you want. I polished then painted a set of ls1 calipers and installed them on my 97 z28 a few years ago and they came out great. They make really good high temp caliper paints.
Caliper covers are really kind of ricey IMO.

I'm not a fan of the caliper covers either, but if you really like them, I'd go with either silver or black (unless you want to do a custom job and paint them body color).
Thanks, don"t really want to spend big money on them, so may just paint them myself. I just can't stand the way the look right now...it's between white and gray, they are terrible...
Removing mine from the car and cleaning them up and painting - $7 for a can of VHT Brake Paint, $5 For new crush washers for the banjo fittings.
No covers to fall off or mess with is a much better option

I think your car would look good with the calipers painted gray and Corvette letters painted in Mag Red.
