Default C6 z06 decision help

I have a chance to either purchase a 2007 z06 bone stock or a 2003 z06 with a fully built engine and supercharged pushing 700 rwhp. To totally different machine power wise. Which would you choose? Newer look and technology but stock or older body style but a monster of a car.

Not a tough choice for me. I dont buy anybody's modded car as you usually dont know the quality and the specs of the build.

re the Z06 bone stock, I'm assuming its a 1LZ? In any event, I'd take the Z anyday if its stock versus a modded supercharged C5. JMHO

C6Z.

That's the only C6 that I would give up my C5 for.

No question - I'd go with the C6 Z06 hands down.

Another vote for the C6Z, for the same reasons above.

You have not given enough information for anyone to make an informed decision. Needed for both cars is mileage, overall condition, and price. Also, how much you like the color on each car and how much you like the C5 vs. C6 bodystyle. Do you like stock or modded cars? Do you want a supercharged car? How was the quality of the work performed on the C5? How many miles were put on the C5 since the work was done? How was the C5 driven after all the work was performed? Regular street car or 1/4 mile at a time? Was there any supporting work done to the C5, such as clutch, tranny, brakes and suspension beefed up to handle the extra power reliably? Does the C5 drive like a car that can be driven on the street or is it kind of hairy? Which do you like driving better? Answer all of these questions and then we can give intelligent advice, not just our own biased opinions based on very litle.

The new z06 has about 30k miles and the price is 31k the older z06 is asking upper 20k's and has about 40k miles. When is the newer body style suppose to come out?

I would definately get the bone stock '07 Z06. That's a great deal depending on the condition and if it's not a track car. That particular C5 Z06 is overpriced. You should be able to find one with half those miles in the mid $20K's. I wouldn't buy someone's SC'd car unless I knew the car and owner/builder personally. The new body style is due with the 2014 Model Year and my guess is that it will probably be out in late 2013. In summary, looks wise, the C5 still has it over the C6 imo, performance wise, LS7 C6Z has it.

A 2007 Z06, with 30k miles, for $31K. Please let me know if you don't buy it, becuase I will...

J/K! But if it checks out, and wasn't abused, that's a heck of a deal...
