Default Wheel Spacers

Do wheel spacers impact wheel balance or cause vibration, etc?

It certainly could if it's poorly built or not installed properly.

I use only hub centric design which centers the spacer to the axle shaft.

I run DRM's(forum sponsor) 5/8" spacers on the front to clear the big brakes an have had no problems. They have been on for over five years now.

The cheap wheel spacers you can get at part stores probably could cause vibrations. They are the non hubcentric type, just a spacer. I was going to use a pair of them for my rear 16" dr's I was going to run but I didnt feel that it was safe since the wheel didnt mount to the hub anylonger, it was just being centered by the lugs. Looked kinda sketchy to me so I going to go with 17" rear wheels for my dr's instead.

I clicked on the motorsport-tech link above to check on ordering some spacers and I was thoroughly confused with all of the measurements required.

It's better to use adapters than spacers. Spacers shorten the length of the OEM studs whereas adapters have their own studs to mount the wheels to.
They are also truer and more hubcentric than spacers.
