FYRARMS, I thought I recognized the name from Supraforums.
The Z is my first Domestic...I love it so far. I will say that my imports had better build quality though, hands down. I'm proud of my previous rides, so excuse all of the pictures.
Previous Rides...
R34 Nissan Skyline
MKIV Supra
240sx
Yamaha R1

Nice to see some import guys in here. A lot more here vs the hater pool over in the C4 forums...lol.
I've built custom forced induction systems as my business for about 12 years now. I did a ton of Honda, DSM and Toyota over the years. I organized/organize many import car meets, shows, etc. I have a true love for imports and always will. I still build many for friends, but I will admit, my Z06 is all around the best car yet. I've got a lot of mods, plus an LS7 waiting to go in. She's gonna be wicked.
My former rides all consisted of Honda's mostly with a few AWD DSM's thrown in. These were my two most recent Honda's below...both V8 killers all day long.
My E85 LS/vtec GT30R Del Sol. Custom fitted and polished NSX brakes, every fabricated piece built by me (mani, breather setup, charge pipes, etc). 11" rotors front and rear, billet suspension, PIC 1 pieces. Car made over 450whp and 380wtq on E85...2480lb car.
TWM ITB's, 12:1 cr, Endyn head, ITR tranny, and a ton of other stuff...227whp n/a 2150lb car

For 20k'ish bucks, the monster that these cars are, I think a lot more import guys are going to be moving this way. I love imports, but the Z06/FRC cars are just a monster platform for the dollar. I can make Honda's fast all day, but the handling/braking/power/reliability balance for the buck is hard to beat with these vettes, I must say.

Melting Slicks
For 15 years prior to my Z06, I had a 1985 300ZX turbo, purchased from my father. Over that time, the car went through 2 clutches, a timing belt, and a few other expensive repairs. I had also put on a cold air intake, HKS catback, and a turbo boost kit. In 2006 when the air condition could not be fixed, because the car was so old, then my dream to have a C5 Z06 was realized. I have had the Z06 for 5+ years and if all goes well, I will make it to my goal of 20 years.
