Default Help needed with HVAC module

My 99 has the Auto Dual Temp HVAC controls and many of the lamps were failing so I sent it out and had all the lamps replaced with OEM lamps. Prior to this I was not having any issues with the HVAC operation. But since many of the lamps were out when I bought the car in 07 I am not sure what the display would function like with all the lamps working.
Since the repair all the button lights stay lit all the time (except the Off button which is never lit), when I press one to say turn the AC ON or Off the lamp will blink but remain lit. Also the bars on the fan level also remain lit except for one in the center and when the fan button is pressed up or down I see the bars go on and off but when done all bars are still lit (the fan does increase and decrease as the button is pressed). I am thinking that the main button lamps should remain OFF unless the button is pressed...is this correct?
Is there a HVAC reset process? Since the module was removed from the car for a week I doubt pulling the fuse would change anything at this point.

Here is a youtube video of the issue.

As always, Thanks in advance

Jim

You might try contacting forum member Bill Curlee and see if he has any ideas what is going on. He is very good with the C5 electronics.

I think the person that replace the lights may have damaged the unit. From what I saw in the video, none of that should be happening.

From information I have read in the LED mod threads, the power supply board may be damaged. One member has tried to reverse engineer the boards to figure out how to repair them. I am not sure how successful he was with this.

I would suggest that you contact whomever did the repair and tell them that they actually made it worse.

My thoughts exactly and I did send the same info to the guy who did the "repair"
