Default Flat Spot off the Line.

I drag race my 04 in the 1/8th mile. It's an automatic. I hold the throttle at 1200 rpm at launch. There is a pretty good flat spot right at my full throttle launch. The motor is box stock other than a cold air intake. I have nitrous hit at 2500rpm to 5000 rpm. No problems there. Is this a stock LS1 drive by wire thing?

Do you have the TRACTION Control set to "OFF"? - I have ask because that will cause that to happen, especially when you double foot it!

How high are you attempting to bring the RPM's up at the light? is your converter stock too?

Can you walk us through "EXACTLY" what you do at the light?

What year is your Vette? etc. More details on evreything!

Thanks,Matt

The car is all stock. Stock converter. I do double foot it. I've not tried leaving the line with traction control off. Never thought that could be it... interesting. I keep the rpm's from 900 to 1200 then blast from there. Simple stuff. Thanks for the traction control tip Matt.

Yeah give it a try at home and you'll see, it kinda flatlines when it is on, they do not like the double foot and it is part of the Traction Control feature - I found that out one day and I forgot once at the track and man was that a bummer too!

Give it a go. leave it "OFF" or switch it to "OFF"

Thanks,Matt

I turn off the tc to warm the tires then turn it back on to run the strip. My thought was traction is good. Is that wrong? The nitrous shot is only 75 h/p. It's amazing how the LS1 reacts to just a 75 shot. I was loosing to the all wheel cars without it. With it? Big difference. I run faster than 90% of them. Thanks again Matt......

It's the double foot at the light (One on the brake and one on the accelerator) and then the mash of the throttle that activates the Flat spot -

try it and see

Thanks,Matt
