I put replacement bulbs and its better but I still can not see at night... I have been considering either the whole set from JW for like 500ish not certain of price or a set of pop up lights from radioflyer.
However, in the interim, I highly recommend changing the bulbs to SilverStar Ultra's... Note: not the plain ol' SilverStars... they suck. I found the new Ultra's to be a tremendous upgrade over stock. The white color of these bulbs also look fantastic!
They are a bit pricey at ~ $50 a set, but so far I've got my money's worth from them until I find the right HID kit.
Sound like a spring job, too cold this time of year. It looks like you have to pull the motor fro room to get them out.
Its just a straight unbolt and refit of the headlamp modules. You dont touch the motors. You need a new wiring harness which plugs into the low beam circuit. Takes a couple of hours.

For best bulb go here http://hirheadlights.com/ , as close to hids as they come. I have tried every bulb out there and none come close to these. Otherwise change over to light canons or similar HID housing. Adding HID kit to regular housing produces much brighter light but it is scattered, not focused and blinding to oncoming traffic as well as illegal.
Another simple & inexpensive improvement is to put high beam bulbs in the low beam socket. I think the procedure was on here, if not I can look it up for you. I did this on my Silverado and Corvette and was happy with the results. The low beam aim remains the same, just more watts, and I don't get flashed for being to bright by oncoming drivers. Have had them this way for 4 - 5 years now. Also have the 4 high mod that helps when the brights are on.

I've been researching this for several months. I had planned to go the ACA HID route but didn't really want to change the original look of the car/lights.
