I am going to be swapping my stock exhasut for Borla stingers soon. I know that in order to keep the stock exhaust in tact, you have to get the rear up around 3 feet. Since the stock exhaust isn't really worth keeping, and I don't want to pay $100-150 for the swap, I plan to cut the stock one off.
That being said, how high do I need to have the rear to install the Borla stingers? If I just back the car up on my rino ramps, will that be high enough?
NO!! You have to have it up nearly 3 feet for the stingers as well and maybe for any exhaust.I run stingers in town and change them out with TIs for trips. It costs $100 for each swap.

Well, thanks for the replies, but I have been referred to a place that rents lifts by the hour for $20/hr, which is money well spent. Now I don't have to worry about cutting the old one, and jacking up the rear high enough to install the Borlas. Thanks for the info Tony!
Just did this exact thing 2 days ago. Had to get car over 3ft up to get factory off. Just ramps will work for stingers since they come in 2 pieces with clamps.
