Noob - Checking in
Everything is intact and works. Been garaged, so the 80K on the clock does not show on the paint or leather. Its going to need tires and shocks, so I'm holding out for a new set of wheels. The PO put a set of ghetto wheels on and any pics will have to wait until this is corrected. Why someone would do that to a Vette is beyond me..
jRose, I want to steal your avatar!

Shop manuals are a good idea but those can get you chasing your tail when you have some problems. This site is a great source of info and advice.
I wish someone had offered the following advice to me when I first discovered this site nearly two years into owning my 2000 coupe:
1. Search is your friend.
2. Don't have a glass chin here,,,some will break it for no reason.
3. Don't let the nay sayers beat you up. Ask good questions and you will get good answers most of the time.
4. Use the pm function when you see items/problems/ideas/questions posted my members that you are interested in or need answers about. Might save you some grief from the Noob Vultures that lurk on any webb site. Not many here but there are a few.
5. Learn about your car then drive it like you stole it, but be safe, your new Vette is a world class sports car! It will bite you if you let your guard down or don't know what you are doing.
6. Not talking down to you at all. Like I said, wish someone had given me the same advice,,,,,,enjoy!
PICS?

The Best of Corvette for Corvette Enthusiasts

Thanks for the heads up, just the same guys.
I'll leave my favorite vitamin "T" avatar up for the time being.

Don't be too worried about asking questions. The search is not the best and just about every question has been asked before. There are even answers and How Tos which cover most of them.
I'd even bet you'll find someone to buy your old wheels. There are a wide range of tastes in Vettes here

I'll add....don't ever go into PR&C.
