How did you measure your shifts so accurately? that is .150 of second that seems like a reasonable difference to me...figuring it takes 3 shifts to do a 1/4 that is nearly a half a second you saved.

Well I use hp tuners and log it, however you cant log how long the clutch is depressed it will log how long you are on and off the throttle. The way I drive makes this a pretty accurate way of measuring as when I shift I lift off the throttle 100% until the clutch is out and then I get back on the throttle. I measured the time between the instant I got out of the throttle and when I got back on it. Ive also have had a few friends tell me that if they didnt know better they wouldnt have thought I shifted because it was so fast. I honestly dont feel like its that fast but apparently it is.

I figured that would of been how you logged it. I gotta get me one of those. That's awesome man. Would love to see a video of your shifting if you ever get a chance. M6 FTW!!!!

Here is about the best I have right now, it was with the factory shifter and I wasnt really trying to shift all that fast but I guess its pretty quick. I didnt start working on how to properly shift and cut down on times until this past summer.

I had SLP Loudmouths installed at this point, everything else was bone stock.

Kinda funny you say that, there were a few people that I went to highschool with that swore up and down that my clutch was slipping and that I had no clue what I was talking about saying that I was spinning tires. Apparently Im not smart enough to know if my tires are spinning and if Im sideways at 60. Not to mention they come to me for help on their cars... Anyways it was a cool night and they are summer runcraps, I have actually never gotten them to screech... Now that they are bald and its below 50 out I have zero traction.

I do I just havent been able to get it on camera as you have to be at just the right angle to get it. I may be able to get it with the new setup I have now, I just havent really messed with it that much, might give it a try if I have time after work tomorrow.

That is why I asked cause with out being in the car its very hard to tell whether its the wheels or the clutch slipping...Its hard to tell as the video is a bit grainy cause it was filmed at night...but I think DIC might of reported traction control engaged when you shifted which would confirm the tires. Ooo the years of high school everyone thought they new everything am I right?

Yep, Mr. I drive honda and you are not going to get wheel spin like that at 60 or Mr. I just replaced my clutch in my G35 and it was slipping so I know what it sounded like and thats what that was. Here I am over a year later with a little extra power and the clutch is still holding.

Yea I dont have a problem with anyone as long as they arent real cocky, no need to talk bad about one brand or another as there are some really well built vehicles all across the board.
