had the same problem, friend of mine told me that if I was useing a name brand paper towel the have oils in them, to make them soft, he told me to buy the cheepest paper towel I could buy and that would do the trick, and a product called invisible glass, I did that and solved my problem.

This is what I was going to say-it works for me...Stoners(Invisible Glass) and the cheapest paper towel you can find...

If you have any kind of film tint, I would highly recommend staying away from any paper towel. Microfiber is the best for that situation.

If there is some kind of slime or grease, try using an ammonia cleaner like Windex. This will cut the impurity that exist. Follow up with your normal cleaner.

Come to think of it, I find my C5's windows are a real PIA to keep clean. I've tried everything, they still streak. I don't use any "preservatives" inside the car excapt for leather conditioner on the seats and Di-electric grease on my weatherstripping.

My car is always garage kept and NEVER sees rain. I'll keep posted for any ideas....

All cleaners leave a haze, don't care about there claims so thats why after the "cleaners' just use plain 'ol water and a very clean soft towel and rub till dry and do it weekly, it will be easy to maintain that way.
The out gassing of the interior plastic and carpet alone will create a haze then add some seat cleaner and vinyl protection... yes even 303 ... will keep you busy for hours. Auto glass can be a challenge

I have been using for a few years now with great results, also not all Micrifiber is created equal, I have had poor results with some cheaper quality towels especially noticable when using products that contain petroleum distillates including Invisible Glass, these cheaper towels will leave particles on your glass or they will drag/stick to the point of not cleaning at all. Once my glass is polished I maintain it with my quick detaler, both in and out.

Hope This Helps

I have also tried Windex, plain water, Armorall Glass Cleaner, Rainex Glass Cleaner, with paper towels or micro fiber cloth with no luck. The other day I was cleaning my plexiglass roof with Plexus and a micro fiber cloth, as usual, and decided to try some on my windows. Wow, worked great, no streaks or haze. My son was over to wash his car and we tried it on his. He called me the next day and said his windows had never been better, super clear. Not sure how its going to be once it rains and I turn on the wipers, since the Plexus leaves the glass feeling like its been polished. BTW, I have used Plexus on my motorcycle windshield for years.

Speaking of Invisible Glass, I just saw a bottle of it at Bed, Bath, and Beyond the other day. Never heard of it till then, supposed to be #1 rated, and I read the directions. It recommended Scott brand paper towels, as others may cause streaking. Who knew.
