C5 wheel bearings
I recently bought a 2000 C5. Does it have wheel bearings that need to be/or can be packed, or are they sealed?
Thanks

The spindles are sealed. I know this for a fact.
The prices on the spindle assemblies (it's a whole unit including the wheel speed sensor ready to bolt and go) runs around the $260 range for fronts/each.
FYI I think from memory the size torx bit you'll need is T25.
I have the bit at home, if you need me to double check the size and let you know send a PM.

It's a T55. You need to pop the lower ball joint to get to the bottom bolt.

Thanks for correcting me, I can't believe I said 25.
I had to buy that 55 special, I had a kit that included a 50 & 60.... the project was only hold until I got the one between.

I had the exact same problem. All in all the job was pretty easy.

Ha ha. I have one in the toolbox from doing the brakes on my old Silverado. GM must be the only one who uses the T55.
