I sold my 1996 Viper three years ago and have been driving an Expedition until a few weeks ago when I pick up my C5 Verte.
Driving the Viper was a blast and got tons of looks and nods but unless I was in a club drive I was typically the only one on the road with a viper.
After driving the new toy around the last few weeks I actually find it a lot more fun owning a Vet than a viper for a few reasons.
First of all I notice other Vetts on the road now and can appreciate more of what peopke have done to them.
Second the looks nods and waves are just about hte same as they were in the Viper.
Third the actual ease and comfort of driving the C5 is SO much better as a Daily Driver!
Fourth this Forum. The Viper Forum is good too but nowhere near the information that I have found here. Definately a numbers gmae on this one but still the months I just lurked here while shopping for my first c5 paid off. Being an informed buyer wiht all the ammonition this place gave me helped me bargain down the price a TON. Oil pressure sending unit for example. That dropped $500 of the price with no question and I am replacing it myself saturday for $50 bucks!
This is going to be a fun run!!!!!!

Ok so where the heck is the add pic button???? When I click on the add picture it comes up with a add url link. Stand by while this technical glitch is worked on
Easy way to post a picture, go to www.tinypic.com
Select choose file and find the picture you want to post on your computer and select. Click the “Upload Now” green button
Type in the scrambled words/letters and upload.
After the upload you’ll see share this image. The 2nd on the list is an IMG code for forums and message boards. Copy that IMG address and paste it into a post and your photo will be displayed in the post.
You can also use photobucket. Here's a how to link.

I forgot to mention the look on peoples faces when I sat down in their car the had for sale and went thru the process of checking the codes. One guy even told me he felt ashamed he didnt know how to do it! HA
