[Z06] New Here :D
Also make sure you get a feel for the car before you up the power. 400 hp in a rear wheel drive car is a lot different than 400 hp in a front wheel drive.
Be careful about lowering her down too far, if you do it on the stock suspension you are going to hurt the handling, by limiting the suspension travel too much. You'd have to convert to coil-overs to drop it down further. Also the ground clearance isn't that high to begin with, and I know around me dropping a lot would cause problems with speed bumps and curbs, etc...
I was thinking a set of factory 17/18 z06 with stickies, maybe widened(a very good friend of mine widens wheels as part of his job), for track day and 18/19's for my daily set with falken 912's. That way the wheel naturally sits a half an in higher into the fenderwell.
275/35 R
335/30 R
I could see going 19, but i'm happy with the 18s - keep a little more lightweight and still have some sidewall. 335/25/19s would be nuts. Running Toyo RA1s

Mine is lowered a fair amount on coil overs but i'm not tucking tire and as far as ground clearance, it is LOW

And no, i havent forgot or gave up on a vette,
Im still trying to find the right one, although im starting to consider a cts-v.... the vette gets a touch better mpg on the highway, but i imagine the cadillac costs a bit less to insure.
I know insurance is going to cost a bit, but it will still be less than my 07 GTI. Not too many 20 year old's would own either of them
