Yesterday I saw a 50th Anniversary Corvette in Woodbridge Ca that is identical to mine. The wheels were the same chrome ones, not like the ones you see in the special 50th package brochure, which were polished aluminum. I was wondering if anyone who has a 50th edition got the car with the wheels like the ones in the picture below. Was it from the factory or at the dealers. They may have been an option, not sure. Any thoughts would be appreciated.
The 50th Anniversary Edition only came with the champagne colored wheels. No C5 came with chrome wheels from the factory. Those are either aftermarket or chromed oem wheels.
All 50th Anniversary Edition cars came with these wheels from the factory.
That is what I thought but seeing another one with the exact wheel I was thinking maybe the dealer did it for the customer. As in the brochure the chrome ones were optional.
You mentioned the 50th anniversary sales brochure and I was wondering if you could help me out .
If I remember correctly, towards the end , in the lower right , was a single paragraph saying the same options could be had in all black, but without the unique badging.
This has been bugging me, as I wasn't realy paying attention back when the literature was new, and now I own an all black '03 convertible. it seems to have all available options, some of them even work.
By the way that car has chrome steel wheels with five thick flat spokes. I think they are factory wheels, but from another year. I really don't know.

Mine came new from Bill Heard Chevrolet in Sugarland TX with the aluminum wheels painted in a Champagne color. I still have them and I wouldn't ever considering parting with them.

If they are chrome, and not polished aluminum and clear coated, they didn't come from any year C5 unless they were chromed after the fact. No chrome wheels were available for a C5 from the factory, even as an option. Many think their polished aluminum wheels are chrome, but it just ain't so.
You could get all the options on any of the 2003 cars except for the Anniversary Red paint and shale interior. Those were only available on the Anniversary Edition and the entire anniversary package stickered at $5,000
I might have the brochure at home will check tonight for it. Will let you know about the options.
I have the brochure and as it turns out they are "Highly Polished Aluminum" my error in calling them chrome. The ones in the brochure also have colored cross flags, mine are just plain. I am sure they are after market, i guess I was surprised that the other car I saw had the same wheel, maybe they are fairly common. Thanks for your response

I absolutely love the factory champagne colored wheels. On a vert they
match the top color real nice.
Even when I was deciding to buy the AE, the wheels were my very least-favorite part of the package. I drove it for a couple of years and then pulled the trigger on the chrome, deep-dish repos.
