Very cool. If I were to do it though, I would have left it all the factory color so you could have a true FRC look when on, and the targa when off. Super nice workmanship all the way. It takes true talent to pull it off. My buddy just converted his hard top 4th gen Camaro to a T Top at home.
Because coupes are so run of the mill (Personal Foul,I know, I'm Sorry). FRC/Z06 just have a badder-*** look to them IMO.
For the record, the coupe is the most aerodynamic body style and thus has the highest top speed. It is also one of the main reasons that the C5R race car is a "run of the mill" coupe......
But, I have to admit, the FRC targa conversion looks amazing.

You are so right about the Coupes aero and speed relationship. It reminds me of the recent olympics. There were some beautiful women runners competing but due to their aero package I might look for girl with more curves to go in my garage. I'll give up 5mph on the top end for the sexiest car on the planet.
Thanks guys Im not one to have a factory car. Everything on this car has had work done to it I do all the work myself. Got to love over 600 Hp and still make 26 MPG. One day i will get my friend to take some high end pics of the car inside and out.
For the most part, I don't get really excited about modification to the appearance of theses cars ( just a personal opinion) but this is really awesome. It looks neat , professional and it enhances the appearance of the car. I've judge many Corvettes in shows and I've seen all sorts of mods but this is one of the better ones. Enjoy!!
The frame is stronger in FRC then any other C5 vette.
It was stronger. The strength of the FRC comes from having the additional frame bracing of the convertible combined with having a fixed roof. You cut that off, so...
