Millennium yellow paint match?
I did use PPG correct MY paint on my fenders. Did not use white primer and used a clearcoat that was not tinted. Although it was close there was no way it matched 100%. Possibly the tinted clearcoat was my issue. I did take to professional body shop and he did match color very well. He also did not use a tinted clearcoat but job came out good.
Hope this helps some.

It's not perfect, but it's close enough for me.
$500 to paint the trunk lid without a guarantee that it'll match (best effort with computer matching), $1000 to also paint (and blend) the fenders and top lid.

I thought at first I picked a crappy body shop (even though it came highly recommended), but it sounds like a common problem with this color...

Then last week I went and crunched the bumper and right front quarter panel (and the surround) on a brick wall. Just had the new parts painted Tuesday. The PPG rep delivered MY for my car (which matched the code we got by cross-referencng my VIN). Paint didn't match - too "velocity yellow" and not enough "yellow gold" (my descriptions).
PPG guy said "oh, there are two different MY yellows, one of which has a bit more tint than the other." But both of which match the '02 paint code!!!! PPG guy sent the correct MY to my body shop guy, and we sprayed again yesterday. Viola - perfect match.
In either case, however, we had to apply a white base coat over the primer (why? cause the PPG guy said to.), then sprayed three passes of the MY followed by three passes at clear coat before the paint matched.
So...be forwarned. Use the white base coat, and be sure to get the "right" MY for your car. Don't trust the VIN or paint code, cause it might not be the correct MY.

Don't know the first thing about matching paint but he told me he added three shots of red instead of one and it made the car darker yellow. No green tint what so ever. Love it but its not MY any more.
He mentioned MY was a pain in the butt to match. Chevy dealership painted mine.
