Years ago, I was in a parade with Miss CT All American. If she's going to sit on the B Pillar, make sure you wipe it down just before she sits down. Then, put a microfiber towel down (a dry one obviously) and let her sit on that. That will protect the paint from any scratches. Those parade routes are very slow so get ready to hold the brake for a good hour and if it's a hot day, make sure your radiator doesn't have any leaves or debris so it won't overheat.
