Default Tire performance question

So my 2004 Z has had a new pair of Firehawk Wide Oval tires for a little under a year now, and ive been wondering how they compare to the stock F1 supercar tires... i never really played with the F1s as they were the stock tires from 04 (under 25k miles on them though) from the previous owner... anyone have any knowledge on these?

The Goodyear F1 tires will perform very well...but they wear out really fast. The Firehawks won't perform as well but will last much longer. Personally I don't do things with my car that require me to need the performance that the Goodyears provide so I went with a less expensive tire for replacement...the Firehawks.

Firehawks are a harder compound, less sticky but last longer. The GY SCs are pretty good as far as grip goes, but for a lot less Nitto NT 05s will grip just as well IMO.

I've got a couple thousand now on my Nitto NT-555s and they are pretty impressive.

I have had Wide Ovals for a couple of years. For the most part, I am very pleased compared to the RF's.

There is one issue that EVERYONE should be aware of with "summer compound" tires: they have NO traction at temperatures lower than 40*. Be careful
