Anyone who has made a screen to block off debris from getting up into the condenser\radiator area....how did you mount it so the plastic cowling piece still pivots on the springs? Or did you just place it so it holds that piece rigid?
Hope this isn't too confusing but if you have put one on you will know what I mean. I am just concerned about where I might put it will keep that piece from moving and get ripped off if I ever sweep it on something like a curb or dip in the road.
It is really amazing the amount of crap these C5 bottom feeders pick up.
I did a S/C install April of 11' and I am currently installing a new radiator. I drove 2k miles last year, but by looking at the grass, fuzz, hay and other debris that I just removed, it looks like I drove 20k miles of country driving on gravel and dirt roads! I will be cleaning out all that crap twice a year from now on!
Just use 1/4" chicken wire. Arch screen up so air dam will pivot.
Don't forget to screen the 1" gap between the radiator and condenser.
Attach with zip ties.
I don't have pics.
