Anyone else watch the 36 hours of Daytona? I don't follow Nascar like I used to but always tune in for the 500. What a crazy weekend. I kept thinking of that song "I've seen fire and I've seen rain"
I think they did a great job with the cleanup and repairs given the scope of the accident and damage.

Never seen anything like that. I cant remember the last time NASCAR was on a Tuesday morning lol. This was the first year in I dont know how many years I didnt go to the 500 but what a crazy race. Glad nobody got hurt and was ok. Now its time for Jeff Gordon and the #24 Drive to End Hunger Chevrolet to bounce back at the Phoenix International Raceway this Sunday LIVE on FOX at 2pm est.

Wonder what happened to his engine. Was a catastrophic failure for sure. I think they said the crank broke but wonder why??
I used to be a Gordon hater but not so much anymore. I kinda started liking him when he got caught messin around on miss priss.
Still not a fan of Hendrick though.

I watched the race and was really pi$$ed that they chose a Toyota Camry instead of a Corvette as the pace car!
Since Juan Pablo Montoya was going to hit a track vehicle, and not hurt anyone, why couldn't it have been the Toyota pace car!

Wish NASCAR would quit f'n around with rules and just make them run STOCK sheet metal!! Last years race with them paired up and changing the lead constantly was MUCH better.The first lap screw up and the last 20 laps were the only racing worth watching. The rest was just a 175 lap high speed parade! I like to see guys actually race and change positions!! Most of the race was a snooze fest! Guess I was spoiled by Petty,Alison,Pearson and the like,,Hell,,I even remember Fireball Roberts!! NASCAR is way too interested in parody than letting them get out and RACE. If they did that,,Dodge might actually make the Charger LOOK like a car that could go fast and get rid of that barn door front end

I'm in Bradenton, Fl. and it hasn't rained here in a good three weeks. The fox network sure had my attention for three days, (Sun,Mon,Tues.) Juan Montoya sure picked a history making way to end a race didn't he.
